19th Century French Tapestry Panel, Pastoral Woodland Scene
Couldn't load pickup availability
A French tapestry panel depicting a pastoral woodland scene, likely dating to the mid to late 19th century. The design shows a softly detailed landscape with trees, foliage and distant architectural elements, woven in a muted palette of warm browns and faded ochres. The surface has a gentle, time-worn quality, with colours that have mellowed evenly over the years.
Dimensions:
120cm x 240cm
Condition:
Unlined, with visible wear to the edges, consistent with its age. This gives it a slightly raw, decorative quality that works well either hung as it is with the addition of a baton or hooks or mounted in a frame.
