Max Walter Svanberg (1912–1994) was a Swedish painter, illustrator, and printmaker associated with Surrealism. He founded the Imaginisterna group in 1948 and later joined André Breton’s Surrealist circle in Paris. His prints and illustrated books gained international recognition, and his works are represented in major collections including the Moderna Museet, Stockholm, and the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris.
