A pair of early 20th-century silk embroidered panels, each depicting mountainous landscape scenes with bridges, trees and distant buildings. Executed on natural linen with fine silk threadwork, capturing delicate foliage and terrain. The elongated vertical compositions are framed in simple black frames behind glass. Both works are signed and dated by Kate M. Beck, 1921, at the lower edge. The embroidery showcases the influence of East Asian landscape painting in Western decorative arts of the period. Fixings are attached at the top and the bottom ready for installation.
H: 171cm W: 50.5cm D: 2cm
Very good condition with some age related cosmetic wear to the frames.
