Italian Travertine Modular Table By UP&UP C 1970

An original sculptural 1970s travertine table by Up & Up. These have been reproduced over the years, but this is a beautiful example of the original design, in excellent condition, enhanced by subtle wear and a rich patina.

Made up of two separate triangular tables they can be configured in different ways to suit the living space. 

The Up & Up travertine tables were produced in Italy during the 1970s and 1980s by the design collective Up&Up, a company based in Seriate, near Bergamo.

• The firm specialized in stone and marble furniture, often working in travertine, marble, and granite.
• They collaborated with well-known Italian designers and architects such as Pierluigi Cerri, Angelo Mangiarotti, and Tobia Scarpa.
• Some models are directly attributed to a named designer, while others were simply produced under the Up&Up brand without a specific designer credited.
