Oscar Lyche (1877-1927)

Oscar Lycke was a self-taught Swedish painter born in Sundsvall in 1877. He became known for romantic landscapes of his native Norrland — forests, lakes, cottages, and the dramatic Nordic sky — typically executed in oil on canvas or board. His works capture serene Swedish countryside light with delicate 

Lycke exhibited widely across northern Sweden and made a successful showing in New York, where his works were well received
